A Strong Hearing System keeps hearing sharper, longer

After the age of 40, your brain gradually loses the speed and accuracy to process sound.  Left untreated, you will understand words less clearly because processing has slowed down.

How Auditory Aerobics® Works

Auditory Aerobics® helps strengthen your hearing system to increase your processing speed. This means that your hearing system does not have to work as hard to get the same amount of sound processed. The more sound your hearing system can process, the more clearly you hear. A strong hearing system helps you understand words more quickly and accurately.

All it takes is the right stimulation. Auditory Aerobics® provides that stimulation. Auditory Aerobics® is an activity in which you make new meaning with Wordplay. Wordplay is a novel use of words and their multiple meanings.  In doing this, new connections form between sound and words. The brain then reinforces these connections to make them stronger.

Wordplay has multiple meanings that can be interpreted in endless combinations. Because of this, you can continuously connect words with new meaning over and over again.  New connections called synapses form.  Through a process called Hebbian learning, the brain reinforces connections that are useful and constructive and makes them stronger. These connections form new networks that strengthen your hearing system. A strong hearing system produces a more accurate understanding of words.

Simple in principle, yet powerful in practice. The stronger you make your hearing system, the better you hear.

When you take part in Auditory Aerobics®, the brain puts language skills, you rarely use, into action. Using language skills you normally don’t use, wakes them up and strengthens them for better speech understanding. It’s like doing something physical that uses muscles you don’t normally use. When you use it, it gets stronger. This activity gives you the essential skill, experience, and confidence to understand words more effectively.
